MySQL 5.0에서 문제점...

지금까지 약 2주동안 가지고 논 결과 MySQL v4.0에 비해, 또 ASP.NET 2.0으로 넘어오면서 그럴지 몰라도 암튼 5.0 넘어오면서 몇가지 골치아픈 문제점이 눈에 보인다.

이게 버그인지 기능상의 차이인지는 좀 더 공부해 보고 생각하련다.




1. ASP.NET 2.0에서 Named Parameter 안먹는다.
 : 인라인 SQL 구문으로 솔루션을 만들려니 대략 난감하다. 진짜 안먹을까? 내가 잘못 알고 있는 것이겠지? 그치? 안먹으면 안되는데 큰일이야...


2. 한국어 인코딩을 드라이버에서 기본 지원하지 않는다.
 : MySQL 5.0 (4.0 Provider / Driver도 마찬가지)에서는 Driver(MySQL .NET Driver V5.0) 자체에서 언어지원 처리 후 재컴파일해서 안전모드로 부팅한 다음 windows/assembly 폴더에 카피해서 등록된 어쎔블리를 바꿔치기해야된다. 귀찮아서 짜증 만빵!!!
 드라이버를 euc-kr로 recompile하지 않으면 Visual Studio 2005 Add-on (Visual Studio Tools for MySQL v1.0 Beta)에서도 DB 원본 설정 시 그냥 튕겨나가버린다 VS 2005가 통째로... 어이가 내 뺨을 때린다.


3. where 절에서 field = null 의 구문이 field is null 로 바뀌었다.
 : 졸라 간단해 보이는데 하루 걸렸다. 아놔...
 v4.x대 이후 개발이 중지된 MySQL Front (UI Tool)에서도 Inline SQL Command가 field = null 이라고 나오는 걸 보면 바뀌었다고 밖에 생각할 수 없다.


4. 필드 타입 중 varchar가 많이 까다롭다.
 : 4.x대 후반부터 느꼈던 건데... 예전에는 20bytes varchar 설정해도 n<=10bytes 정도는 허용했는데 지금은 칼같이 byte 수 챙긴다. 이럴라면 차라리 char 를 사용하지요. 왜 varchar를 사용하냐고~~~~
